Our Services :
Preventive Dentistry
Preventive dentistry involves professional checkups and cleaning to maintain healthy teeth and gums for life. The main streams under Preventive dentistry include:
Dental Diagnosis
Dental Diagnosis is the most important aspect in modern dentistry. Oral examinations and check-ups are carried out to ensure a proper treatment plan is drawn and executed.
Scaling & Polishing
Scaling is done to remove calculus or tartar on teeth that causes tooth decay and gum infections. Professional polishing is done to restore your teeth's natural sheen.
Dental Fillings
Dental fillings are the most common restoration procedures. If part of a tooth has been lost through decay or damaged due to an accident, dental fillings may be used to fill a portion of tooth or plug the hole and stop any future pain or discomfort. There are two basic types of dental fillings: Traditional Amalgam Fillings and now the more widely requested Composite Resin Tooth-Coloured Fillings - or white fillings which are coloured to look like your natural teeth.
Plaque Control
"Prevention Is Better Than Cure" is the ideal motto to adopt. Your teeth can and should last a lifetime. Prevention and early detection are key in avoiding costly and painful dental treatment. Prevention begins with the control of plaque and calculus, the main cause of decay and gum disease.
The most important steps in maintaining oral health and preventing tooth decay are regular brushing and a balanced diet. Additional methods are :
- Sealant resin protection for you and your children's teeth
- Fluoride treatment to help teeth build resistance to decay
- Caries risk assessment
- Diet counseling
- Preventive resin restoration
- Oral hygiene instruction

Mr Greig MarkhamGood Morning, Ms Dipa, Greetings from Bangalore. It's hard to believe we were in Hythe on Wednesday and now we are here and the treatment has started. The flights were excellent and we were collected from the airport as arranged. We were delighted to meet the happy, smiling, helpful Ms Kusha and our registration was handled very efficiently. My treatment plan was reviewed and confirmed, the team was introduced ("Many people will have their hands in your mouth during the next three weeks") and they inspired confidence. The Hospital is all that anyone could wish for - Friday was a marathon session with 5 Root Canals and 2 & 1/2 hours drilling, and yesterday (Saturday) all they wanted was to see if I am OK, now we have a holiday until Wednesday morning. We both think we could not have had such good care and treatment anywhere; there is still a lot to do but it feels good so far. The 'Service' Apartment is fine; now we know what it means - our own room en suite with a living room and kitchen shared with two other Apartments, and 4 house boys to cook, wash, clean, etc. for which we pay Rs. 2,400 nightly including tax; and we can recommend it. It takes about half an hour to get to the hospital in the rush-hour by rickshaw, less on Saturday, for Rs. 35. We are conveniently located for exploring the City, shopping and restaurants. I hope these few notes may help you and anyone else thinking of coming here for treatment. best wishes. Mr Chris Sorrell
Dear Dipa,
Ref. Patient Feedback.
With regards to my treatment at The Manipal Hospital in Oct. 2005.
I was met at the Airport by staff and taken to the hospital were I had to wait for some time befor being asked to register. I was then taken up to the sixth floor were I was given a room. It was not of a standard I had expected and I complainded to the staff. I spent the first night here, but because of my complaint, was moved up to the eighth floor to an executive room the next day. Couldn's have wished for a better room, it was first class!!
The staffs were extermely helpful, and very professional at all times. In particular Kusha Srinivas (releations executive) from The International Care Cell gave me every assistance, which made my stay very easy indeed.
The consultand dental surgeons, Dr. M. A. Baliga, took a great deal of trouble looking after me and making me aware of the procedures as they came up. I am returning on April 19th to have the teeth fitted to the implants. My stay this time is, as suggested by Dr. Baliga, for three weeks (two for the dental work, and one to make sure it is perfect.) I shall be staying in a serviced apartment, which the hospital will arrange, on my arrival.
My thanks to you and your staff for all your help.
Warm Regards, Chris Sorrell
